Jamie anchors our fund growth and internal mission, managing capital relationships while ensuring our investments stay true to our core values.
A veteran serial entrepreneur and executive, Jamie brings hands-on operational leadership to early-stage ventures. He previously co-founded and served as CEO of Wayland - a perception AI firm in the surgical robotics space - scaling it to 30+ team members across four countries and $2 million in annual revenue prior to a successful founder exit. His entrepreneurial track record also includes a starting a digital marketing firm that was later acquired, ventures in the medtech and cleantech IoT sectors, and securing over $18 million in growth capital throughout his career.
Jamie holds an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership from the Valar Institute, a Professional Certificate in Applied Corporate Finance from the University of Cambridge, alongside degrees in Political Science, Eastern European History, and International Studies. Based in Skopje, he leverages his deep connection to North Macedonia and Kosovo to partner with technical founders from the concept stage to viability and scale. Jamie deeply understands the unique intricacies of international business structuring and operations from the Balkans. Approaching founders with the mindset of an experienced coach, he helps startups sharpen business strategy, refine unit economics, and execute cross-border growth playbooks to position Balkan innovation on the global stage.
Extending his commitment to regional development, Jamie serves on the boards of the Forum for Leadership and Reconciliation and Koreni Education Development. Through these roles, he actively supports the growth and resilience of young people in the community by championing ethical leadership, reconciliation, and educational initiatives that empower the next generation of local leaders.
